bringing good to community and your family!
Welcome to Agape Community Services (ACS) site!
In year 2000, a group of professionals started a volunteering program, in a local church in central New Jersey, to help new immigrants and low income families. Their efforts ranged from giving information about food, insurance and housing assistance to providing family counseling, naturalization application services, training, career advice, English as a second language (ESL) lessons, professional classes, workshops, and living assistance for needy families and individuals. The deep budget cuts to social services, economical hardship, and the increase in number of immigrants, made the program on high demand.
The best way to not feel hopeless is to get up and do something. Don’t wait for good things to happen to you. If you go out and make some good things happen, you will fill the world with hope, you will fill yourself with hope.
---President Barack Obama
Through the years, the program has grown to reach about 80 social service providers and 50 different programs. In year 2011, the ongoing program formally moved under Agape Community Services (a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit community-based organization) offering benefits assistance and several valuable services to the whole community regardless of race, gender, creed, culture or way of life.
