Family services include: counseling, family referral services, and care to low-income families and the needy.
Family Services:
Our staff makes referrals to clinical social workers who constantly work with and understand the challenges families are facing in today’s world to help them with issues, such as:
– Unhealthy behaviors
– Marriage challenges
– Domestic violence
– Anger management
– Conflict mediation
– Stress, anxiety, and depression
– Emptiness, loneliness, and isolation
The referred counseling aids families to look for solutions and improves their insight, self-confidence, motivation, and coping skills. It also reduces or alleviates any type of social, emotional, and psychological pain, helping develop loving, caring, and deeper relationships with others.
Housing Assistance:
ACS also helps people in need who are experiencing a difficult time paying their rent, utility. and/or medical expenses (when funds are available). We also seek to secure safe and affordable housing for disconnected youth and displaced families and to provide food to the needy and the poor. Lastly, Agape additionally offers individual counseling and educational workshops on credit and financial management.
